Morgan had her first encounter with the marine world when she was six years old when she first went scuba diving, following the steps and passion of her father. After this experience her a passion for the marine world began and she became a scuba diving instructor. Her passion for diving and the sea led to a semester abroad in the Facultad de Ciencias Marinas de Ensenada (UABC) and she graduated from the ISARA Agro School in Lyon, France. She completed her undergraduate thesis at the Centro Interdisciplinario de Ciencias Marinas (CICIMAR), in La Paz, B.C.S., with a research about feeding habitats of blue shark (Prionace glauca) and silky shark (Carcharhinus falciformis), using stable isotopes of nitrogen and carbon, on the west coast of Baja California Sur, Mexico. She studied her master’s degree at CICIMAR and Pelagios Kakunjá, and completed her thesis about the trophic ecology of bull sharks (Carcharhinus leucas), tiger sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier), and hammerhead shark (Sphyrna mokarran) in the Mexican Caribbean.
