Mariana Vázquez

Originally from Veracruz, México, Mariana is a biologist from the Universidad Veracruzana. She has been passionate about ocean and marine fauna since she was a kid, that’s why her bachelor’s research focused on shark’s diversity at the national park “Sistema Arrecifal Veracruzano”. She is an SSI dive master and has worked as a scuba diver guide. She has a great interest in scientific communication, has participated in multiple workshops. She finished her master’s degree at CICIMAR and Pelagios Kakunjá with trophic ecology of smooth hammerhead sharks.
