Originally from the city of Querétaro and thanks to scuba diving, he grew up fascinated by the ocean and the amount of life it has only a few centimeters below its surface. He studied Marine Biology at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California Sur, in La Paz. During his undergraduate career, his passion for scuba diving became greater and he got certified as divemaster and works as one in his free time. His interest to study the diverse interactions among species of bony and cartilaginous fish also increased. He graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s thesis about the functional diversity of sharks in Cabo Pulmo National Park, under the supervision of Dr. Héctor Reyes y Dr. James Ketchum.
