Estefanía Bravo is originally from Ecuador, she is a marine biologist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. She has been fascinated by the ocean and sharks since she was a kid. As a bachelor student she was involved in projects with Migramar, discovering her passion for research and conservation of ecosystems. In 2021 she finished her Master’s program in Management of Marine Resources at the Centro Interdisciplinario de Ciencias Marinas (CICIMAR-IPN), carrying out her research work with Pelagios Kakunjá and Migramar about residency patterns of blacktip and silvertip sharks in Cocos Island, Costa Rica.
