Dr. Darcy Bradley
Researcher
After spending several years in Thailand, Indonesia, and Western Australia working with a shark research and conservation organization, Darcy returned to the U.S. and received a Ph.D. at the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at UC Santa Barbara. In her research, Darcy uses field surveys, experiments, and statistical modeling to understand predator population dynamics and movement ecology, human impacts on sharks, and the role of marine protected areas in protecting sharks and other highly migratory marine species. Darcy currently works as a postdoctoral researcher with the Sustainable Fisheries Group at UC Santa Barbara and The Nature Conservancy of California. In 2017 he became part of the research team of Pelagios Kakunjá, to collaborate in several projects, particularly in Cabo Pulmo and the Revillagigedo Archipelago.
