Anamaría Posada Prado

Anamaría Posada is a Biologist, with a focus on conservation biology and biotechnology from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Cali, Colombia. She is interested in population ecology, communities, behavioral ecology and ethology. She is an active and committed person and enjoys all aspects of field work. After gaining experience and skills at a several research projects, as well as monitoring and curatorship at the taxidermy, she has developed a critical and analytical observation, planning and research capability, which has contributed to carry out scientific projects. Anamaría did an internship with Pelagios Kakunjá from February to June of 2017, participating in shark monitoring projects. She recently finished a master’s program at the Centro Interdisciplinario de Ciencias Marinas (CICIMAR), carrying out her research project with Pelagios Kakunjá, focusing on the movements and residency of lemon shark (Negaprion brevirostris) in the Cabo Pulmo National Park, under the advisory of Dr. James Ketchum and Dr. Rogelio González.
