Originally from La Paz, B.C.S., since he was a child he has felt much passion for the sea and for sharks. He finished his career in Marine Biology at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur and worked on research of sharks and rays in the Centro Interdisciplinario de Ciencias Marinas (CICIMAR-IPN) with projects of trophic ecology and reproduction of sharks in the Eastern Pacific Mexico. He collaborated in various events organized by the non-profit Iemanya. He finished his bachelors’ thesis with Dr. Sergio Flores and Dr. Mauricio Hoyos carrying out a research about identifying sharks using genetics and forensic samples collected in local fish markets of the Baja California Peninsula.
